The Gallivant is a cool boutique hotel in Rye, United Kingdom. Situated on the border of East Sussex and Kent, it is an idyllic coastal getaway beside the picturesque Camber Sands. Designed by Sigrid Cragoe, the interior exudes a “Hamptons meet Soho House” aesthetic. The 20 guest rooms and cabins are one-of-a-kind, each outfitted with coastal-inspired furniture, a patterned headboard, and a marble bathroom.
We particularly love the light-filled garden rooms, which boast a private deck with direct access to the coastal garden. At the heart of The Gallivant is Harry’s, an all-day restaurant led by chef Matthew Harris. Inspired by grand French brasseries, it highlights share-style plates crafted from seasonal local produce. During your stay, you can also join a daily yoga class in The Open Space, the hotel’s yoga studio.
