The Eden is a cool new boutique hotel in Santa Monica, California. Opened in June 2025, it occupies a 1939 Streamline Moderne building, previously the iconic Shangri-La Hotel. Lovingly refurbished, the property is now home to 70 laid-back guest rooms & suites. They come in soft neutral tones, each outfitted with clean modern furnishings, deep soaking tubs, organic linens, and Sachajuan bath products.
A major highlight of The Eden is its outdoor pool and hot tub, surrounded by loungers, cabanas, and verdant garden spaces. Poolside dining is also available throughout the day, featuring a selection of drinks and bites. Working with Coffee Manufactory, the lobby café now serves specialty coffee and sandwiches. Besides, you will have access to a 24-hour fitness center, a yoga room, and a scenic rooftop deck.
