Shophouse 26 is an affordable boutique hotel in the Phra Kanong neighborhood of Bangkok. The small hotel is hidden inside an old shophouse, transformed by Studio PATH and architect Aurapim Phongsirivech. While the interior is completely refurbished, some original features have been preserved. For instance, the exposed walls show the history behind the building.
Shophouse 26 offers just 5 exclusive guest rooms, each designed individually. Their design revolves around a white minimalistic theme, accented by sleek modern furnishing, dark wooden touches, and small plants. You will of course have all your basics like plush bedding and free wifi.
Paying homage to the original building’s shophouse tradition, the first floor of Shophouse 26 is occupied by Singlelane. Opening throughout the day, the open-air cafe serves ever-changing specialty coffee and refreshing light dishes using Thai ingredients and techniques.
