Rosas & Xocolate is one of the most unique boutique hotels in Merida, Mexico. The historic 5-star hotel is housed inside an old rustic colonial architecture, lovingly restored by architect Salvador Reyes Rios and his wife. The building’s original structure has been preserved, while the facade and walls are painted bright pink, bringing a refreshing contemporary charm to the space.
Rosas & Xocolate offers 17 guest rooms and suites, each outfitted in handmade cement tiles, stucco walls, and cedar wooden touches. They also come with plush bedding, high ceilings, an outdoor bathtub, L’Occitane toiletries, handmade chocolate soap, a TV, a Bose sound system, and free wifi.
During your stay, you will have access to an outdoor pool with loungers, loan bikes, laundry services, and a spa with different treatments. Another highlight of Rosas & Xocolate includes its award-winning Rosas y Xocolate Restaurant, one of the finest restaurants in the city. Led by chef David Segovia, the restaurant showcases different sophisticated contemporary dishes.
