KEX Portland is a chic affordable boutique hotel in Portland, Oregon. Originating from Iceland, the social hotel is housed inside an ivory brick building from 1912, lovingly revived by Icelandic designer Hálfdan Pedersen. The communal space now features a warm and cozy wooden design, complemented by mid-century furnishing and hand-curated objects.
KEX Portland offers just 29 guest rooms, including both bunk rooms and private rooms. They are designed with a vintage-inspired charm, each featuring antique wooden furnishings and modern amenities. You will find all the essentials, such as plush bedding, Firsthand Supply toiletries, free wifi, and morning coffee. You will also have access to the upper-floor loungers.
For meals and drinks, you will find a modern West Coast menu at Pacific Standard. It is open all day serving a wide variety of drinks and dishes. During summertime, Sunset Room, a rooftop bar, will also be open, offering experimental cocktails and chilled beverages for guests.
