Fogo Island Inn

Newfoundland, Canada

Fogo Island Inn is one of the most unique luxury hideaways in Canada. Tucked away on a remote island off the northeastern coast of Newfoundland, the sustainable 5-star retreat sits quietly inside a striking contemporary architecture. A passion project from local native Zita Cobb, 100 percent of revenue surpluses are returned to charity Shorefast for further investment in the local community.

The facade is made mostly from locally-sourced wood, while the guest rooms & suites feature hand-crafted furniture and textiles by local artisans. The building also features ample facilities, including a cinema, a fitness center, a reading room, a gallery, saunas, and rooftop hot tubs. As for gastronomy, the dining room presents a refined menu revolving around local vegetables and North Atlantic seafood.
