21 Carpenter is one of the best design boutique hotels in Singapore, which opened in December 2023. Working with local architecture firm WOHA, the new hotel reimagined a collection of 1930s shophouses in Clarke Quay. Besides, a striking aluminum extension is also added to give the property a contemporary twist. Walking inside, the lobby welcomes you with a colorful design under a soaring skylight.
21 Carpenter offers 48 accommodations across the old and new wings, coming in either a heritage or an urban style. They all revolve around a Chinese Art Deco theme with subtle historical touches. The heritage rooms are even crafted using Chengal timber from the original shophouse. You will also find upscale amenities, including a B&O speaker, a Dyson hairdryer, and Smith & Co. toiletries.
